Touchstone Energy Scholarships awarded

Fairfield Electric Cooperative recently awarded five $1,000 Touchstone Energy Scholarships.  The recipients are Khushi Dave, Zykirah Davis, Faith Mull, Jacobe Reid and Destini Simpson.

The recipients were selected based on their scholastic record, community involvement and extra-curricular activities.  Fairfield's Touchstone Energy Scholarships are available to students whose primary residence is served by the cooperative.

Khushi Dave is a graduate of Spring Valley High School. She will be attending the University of South Carolina where she will study psychology.

Zykirah Davis is a graduate of Fairfield Central High School. She will attend Columbia College where she will study speech-language pathology.

Faith Mull is a graduate of Blythewood High School. She will attend Charleston Southern University where she will study nursing.

Jacobe Reid is a graduate of Chester Senior High School. He will attend Winthrop University and study physical education.

Destini Simpson is a graduate of Lewisville High School. She will be attending Aiken Technical College and study dental hygiene.

Congratulations to this year's recipients. They are all great representatives of their schools and are committed to their communities.  Touchstone Energy is a nationwide alliance of independent, consumer-owned co-ops. Fairfield Electric and the other Touchstone Energy Cooperatives share the value of commitment to community, integrity, accountability and innovation.
